Patience and Waiting...

My friend Mandee, asked me to make this for her for an adoption academy workshop last weekend.  She and I have been friends since the mission field, where we were companions twice.  I asked her if I could share this now that it's over.  I made it for their binder covers.  I've loved this tree and always wanted to photograph it. And when my friend told me her vision and the quote, I knew right where to find the perfect tree and take the photo. I've helped her twice make digital scrapbook pages when she was working on adopting and she has since been blessed with 2 little red heads whose birth moms live across the states from each other.  Her example of faith and patience is astounding to me.  So feel free to print it off and put it somewhere if you'd like.  Another friend emailed me last night to say she'd done just that after finding out last week she had serious fertility issues. For me, I think about this quote and it fits with my struggle for good health. The resurrection will be so wonderful.  And I wonder who else this might help.  What's your story?

This saying means a great deal to me. I have 4 beautiful children thanks to the miracle of adoption...it took 15 years but I would go through it again. I am so thankful to be a mother!

We finalize our last adoption in March and then take our little baby to the temple. We can hardly wait! thanks for sharing this beautiful quote!

This is amazing!! I'm a "contributor" to the blog but don't contribute much. Something kept telling me to check the blog and I'm so glad I did.

I have 3 kids through the blessing of adoption but before I got my 1st, we had a baby that we were adopting but had to give back to the birth mom. That was the hardest thing ever but I'd do it all over again because of the 3 incredible blessings I got after. This quote means SO MUCH to me and now I have a sister who is on the waiting list and I'm passing this along to her! I wan't sure if I should make a post about my story so this is the short story of it for the comment.

I am Stephanie's sister (the Stephanie who just posted a comment). This quote is what I needed today and always. I always need to be reminded of patience and how things are always worth the wait. My husband and I have tried and waited for 2 1/2 years to have a baby. We had fertility issues and now have our adoption papers in. We are happy and thrilled that adoption is the way we will have children. Sometimes when I cry and have my moments, I briefly wonder to myself "when is this going to be over". But, I have no doubt Heavenly Father has something and a little someone in store for Tyler and I. I now have this quote written out and taped to the door that leads to the baby's room.. just in case I need to be reminded again!

My wife and I are hoping to adopt our first child. We have a blog (www.thelittlestbrookslivingston.wordpress.com) and I'd love to use this image in a blog post (with a link back to this post)- would that be okay? Thanks for posting this, it's beautiful!
