Dress-up your house... and win something too!! {FREE GIVEAWAY}

Don't miss the free Giveaway at the bottom of this post, hosted by: ScribbleitonlineAs many of you know, we just recently bought our first home. I have loved decorating it, and adding some small touches to make it more fun. One of my favorite additions has been vinyl lettering. I know that it has been around for a while, but remember; this is my first house!!!

I love that it is fairly inexpensive, but it can make such a difference to your wall. I have used it on several big walls. I feel like it adds so much character, and I don't have to fill the wall with other stuff. It also makes a statement, yet it is so simple. I have loved using quotes on the wall that help describe our family. Everyone comments on what a fun addition it is, and it helps them get a better sense of who the Swensons are. I have found they are also a great way to share some of our beliefs... notice the picture of my kids with Lead Me, Guide Me, Walk Beside Me. Many friends have asked me how I came up with that line. I love explaining that is comes from my favorite childrens hymn, "I am a Child of God."

You can also order the vinyl and put it on a piece of wood to adorn a book shelf. You can put it on your front door, walls, bath tubs, just about anywhere you can think of. Then when you are done with it, it is easily removed.

When choosing your vinyl lettering, you need to pick a company. Then you can pick your font, color, and what you want it to say.

I just recently stumbled upon a fabulous vinyl company, called Scribbleitonline.

What do I love about it?

* There prices are very comparable to other sites, but there products are unique

*There site is user friendly

*They have unique vinyl unlike any I have ever seen(not just your average quotes for the wall)Like I said, vinyl has been around for a while, but not vinyl like this. This is so COOL!!!

There website is: http://www.scribbleitonline.com/

There blog is: http://scribbleitonline.blogspot.com/

There Etsy is: http://scribbleit.etsy.com/

Here is some of the vinyl on my wish list from Scribble. (Sorry, I had a hard time getting them any bigger) I have a wall that is just waiting for this with our last name. I also love how they have made the silhouettes. The best part about them is they are custom. You send them a picture of your kids profile, and they make it of your child. What a wonderful way to capture what your kids look like.

They have a vintage line that I am completely in love with, complete with a chandelier that would look adorable in a little girls room.

If you are looking to add some words to your wall, you can create your own, or check out the ideas that they have.

And.... I am saving the best for last. Scribbles has offered to host a free giveaway on the angel blog. This is what you will get:It is a tin wreath that will be made custom with your last name, and families date. All you have to do is... check out there website, and then leave us a comment telling us what your favorite product is. We will then randomly select one winner, and post your name here, on the angel blog.

The contest will be open until midnight on Thursday Sept. 11, 2008. We will post the winner Friday by 12:00 noon.

Please check back to see if you are the winner, and then we will work out the details for getting you your prize.

Thank you to Scribbleitonline. I really am so excited about their company, and I hope that you can find something that suits your home, as I have. Vinyl is really a wonderful way to spruce up a wall, door, or something that is staring you in the face. Spruce it up, by adding some character to your home. I can't wait to place my order.

How fun! I wish that I had the room to do lots of vinyl lettering. I love the ones Stephanie has in her house. I like the welcome sign in Italian and I love this one: http://166.70.142.39/Father,%20Mother,%20Children_files/to%20love%20and%20treasure.png that would be darling in Bella's room.

OHH! I LOVE vinyl lettering! Since I don't have any in my home yet, I could list at least a dozen things on that sight that I would love to have, but one of my favorites is the one that says "No joys on earth bring greater pleasure than a little girl to love and treasure." That one tugged at my heart since I am a new mom to a beautiful baby girl:)

I really want to get the Front Door Sayings. They are super neat and I have not seen anything like them. I need to get one for my home. There are some kids sayings Like there is no buddy like brother. My daughter thinks that exact thing about hers!

I love everything that has to do with family! I can't take more than 3 steps in my house without looking at the faces that I love (photos in frames) and I love words that give more meaning to the faces.

What cute stuff! This got me thinking. I could even put something on my fruit room door about food storage. Do you know if they have window clings with out the adhesive? Since I have Adobe Illustrator (a vector based program that gives you those nice smooth edges), I wonder if I could create my own custom design that they could cut for me? Hmmmm....

Oh to have a house! I loved the ward enrichment ideas. My favorite was the glass cubes. Cute! I'll have to get some of these to advertise Jaron's business on his car. (Wait, do we want to advertise on a purple Neon?!)

The silhouettes are beautiful. I tried ONCE to get my kids to sit still to trace their profiles. So did not work!
My practical nature would need the letters for salt, sugar....there's a story there.

I loved the inspirational sayings, expecially the one that read
Your stronger than you seem; braver than you believe; and smarter than you think you are. They are the kind of home decorations that uplift you when you walk into a room!

I love this site too - I actually went to school with the girl that owns it!! Anyway, there is an airplane towing a child's name behind it and I love it!! I always say that if I get a baby boy, his bedroom will be decorated with airplanes.

They have so many cute things!! The vintage chandelier caught my attention, but the thing that made me laugh was the no soliciting lettering on the front door. I need that!!

Cute stuff! Now I want to put vinyl throughout my house!
My boys are really into birds and I Love Mr. Owl wall art. I also love the Orange Blossoms...since I just made a quilt for my daughter with flowers that look like that.

My favorite has to be the profiles of the little ones...my grandma always had them done for us when we went to Disneyland. We sat down on Main Street and waited for our profiles to be cut - we have quite a few that shows how we grew over the years! just special memories!

I liked many of the cute "sayings," but the cute dress forms just make me smile.

Yey... I have Scibbleit as one of my favorites on Etsy! It's so hard to choose one favorite, but I LOVE the custom silhouettes... classic and timeless and personalized.

I have never seen this before. You say it has been around for awhile, but it is new to me! I love it! I just spent a lot of time looking at the website and I LOVE the airplane with a child's name. My son's room is in fire trucks right now, but he is moving to a big boy bed soon, and we might just have to change to airplanes to accommodate this great decoration. Thanks for sharing!

I have so many undecorated walls. I just love their lettering! I think my favorite item, though, are their custom silhouettes. They are so beautiful and so unique. I'd love to have one done of my kids!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE all of the wall art for sure. We're doing so much remodeling to our old house that it's hard to even think about the decorating at this point. But when I DO get to that point the Light Up The Night bugs will be in one of my kids rooms for sure.
